MTG Commander Deck EDH Deck Xyris, the Writhing Storm 100 Magic Cards Custom Deck Card Draw Snakes
MTG Commander Deck EDH Deck Xyris, the Writhing Storm 100 Magic Cards Custom Deck Card Draw Snakes
This is a fun budget deck for the casual commander player. Create a massive army of snake tokens and overwhelm your opponents. Below is a complete decklist so you can get a closer look.
This is NOT an official Wizards of the Coast preconstructed deck (I designed and built this custom budget deck myself.) Most of the cards will be Near Mint (NM) but some may be Slightly played or Moderately played. Ships in 1 business day so you'll get it fast. You will receive 1 complete 100 card commander deck containing the following cards (unsleeved and no deck box) Message me with any questions or concerns.
~ Please Note that most of these cards are NM-M condition but some might be SP - MP. ~
Designer Notes: By forcing your opponents to draw cards you'll create an army of snakes and overwhelm them! Many of the cards that force your opponents to draw make you draw as well, which helps you find key cards. Once you have enough tokens use cards like Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse or Biomass mutation to finish the game. Haste enabling cards like Ferocification speed up the deck significantly by allowing Xyris to produce snakes the turn he comes into play. A few cards punish your opponents in other ways. Psychosis Crawler will deal a lot of damage if Xyris is allowed to stay in play for a few turns.

Well crafted and very fun to play
Awesome deck! Lots of group card draw = lots of snakes.
After some upgrades, a great deck
The quality was amazing as always
My disappointment is mostly my own fault, as I failed to review the entirety of the deck list prior to purchasing, and assumed there were at least a couple value pieces built in to justify the price.
That being said, the purchase price of the deck is a bit hard to swallow, being 2x to 4.5x the price of the combined singles. ($36.15 on Card Kingdom to $14.12 on TCG Player as of this evening.)
If you need a deck on the fly to play under an extreme budget restriction requirement with your friends, and don’t have the time to procure singles or otherwise toss something together yourself from your own bulk, this will at least get you to the table.
It’s budget (as described in the listing), but so budget it feels like a pauper commander deck, and is not something that’s been able hold its own against average casual decks.
