Designer Notes:  Niv-Mizzet is a great card draw engine by allowing you to draw a card each time a player casts an instant or sorcery spell.  Use his damage ability as a way to remove problematic creatures and finish the game through direct damage.  Cards like Curiosity will create an infinite loop with your commander allowing you to draw your deck and deal damage, but be careful because you can deck out this way.  Cards like Talrand, Sky Summoner and Guttersnipe give you even more value when you cast spells allowing you to snowball out of control even harder.
